Lo Yang Class Automated Corvette

The Lo Yang class Automated Corvette was a design that emerged in the height of Federation-Klingon Aggression prior to the Khitomer Accords, the Lo Yang was intended to be the first fully automated Federation warship and was part of a plan to create a fleet of automated warship to fight the Klingon Empire from the safety of their own lines. The Lo Yang was shelved for decades, it was later produced in large numbers during the Federation-Cardassian War where the Lo Yang was used in large quantities to act as cannon fodder warships for the Federation and would be used again during the Dominion War leading up the inclusion of the Klingon and Romulan Empires in the battle against the Dominion. The Lo Yang would end up being replaced by the larger and much more capable Taiyang Class Automated Destroyer in 2393, the remaining Lo Yang's were stripped of their weapons and used as Automated Tugs for many years afterwards
