USS Alliance NCC-2148

The Alliance Class Armed Light Carrier was a large ship with the firepower of an early Constitution Class Cruiser, while that may not sound like much it was capable of going toe-to-toe with older Klingon Battlecruisers and coming out relatively intact. The Alliance Class' secondary hull could house sixteen shuttles or sixteen fighters if needed and due to its large array of impulse engines it was remarkably fast for a ship of its mass.
