SubPro E-11 Heavy Starfighter

The SubPro E-11 Heavy Starfighter was an 'Empire Friendly' design intended for use by the Galactic Empire as an alternative to the Sienar TIE Fighter, while not as efficient or streamlined the E-11 packed a considerable amount of firepower. Capable of being fitted with an upgraded quad laser cannon turret in the rear, two quad or octuple turrets on the sides and four fire-linked laser cannons at the front made the E-11 a threat to any unfortunate craft it came across. It would not see a great deal of mainstream use by the Empire but a variety of Imperial officers would use the E-11 in their forces, Grand Admiral Thrawn had a number of E-11's outfitted with quad ion cannons and a few with octuple ion cannons for disabling small craft. The E-11 had its own hyperdrive and the same shielding that made the D-19 series so powerful, all this made the E-11 a powerful craft. A number would be converted into ground attack craft and used to attack rebel ships before or during their escape, the Executor did originally has a squadron of E-11 setup for this task but the late Admiral Kendal Ozzel had them offloaded as he deemed them unneeded in their mission. Following the fragmentation of the Galactic Empire after the Battle of Endor, the E-11 would become one of the many Imperial Starfighters to serve in the Imperial Remnant and would continue to serve even during Yuuzhan Vong War.
